My Week In Review:

Happy Saturday! Wow, this week was crazy! I found out this week that Brittni,
my baby girl (whose almost 20) is going to have a baby! Her due date is August 12th!
I've read The Iron Queen, Spirit Bound and Last Sacrifice this week! 3 fantastic book!
I've looked into volunteering at my library and the hospital that is closest to my house. I can't stay
home any longer. I have to do something until a job comes along. So anyway, thats mostly my week,
how was yours?

Guess What!

Yup! Brittni told us yesterday! She's due in August and she has decided that she is going to stay in Florida. While I understand, it breaks my heart a little because I'm going to miss out on all the fun stuff with her. Anyway, I just had to share!

The Iron Queen
by Julie Kagawa

My name is Meghan Chase.I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.
This time, there will be no turning back.

my thoughts~
What can I say? Julie Kagawa has created a series that has now joined my top 5 all time favorites series! For me The Iron Fey series is ranked up there with The In Death series, The Black Dagger Brotherhood series, The Shifter & Soul Screamers series. When I read The Iron Queen, I was transported to Nevernever. By the time I finished reading The Iron Queen, I felt like I had been through the war along side Meghan, Ash & Puck. And I am so thankful that I have The Iron Knight to look forward too!

Waiting On Wednesday (3)

Waiting On Wednesday is hosted each week by
Payne, twin sister of Vishous, is cut from the same dark, seductive cloth as her brother. Imprisoned for eons by their mother, the Scribe Virgin, she finally frees herself-only to face a devastating injury. Manuel Manello, M.D., is drafted by the Brotherhood to save her as only he can-but when the human surgeon and the vampire warrior meet, their two worlds collide in the face of their undeniable passion. With so much working against them, can love prove stronger than the birthright and the biology that separates them?

The Iron Daughter
by Julie Kagawa

Half Summer faery princess, half human, Meghan has never fit in anywhere. Deserted by the Winter prince she thought loved her, she is prisoner to the Winter faery queen. As war looms between Summer and Winter, Meghan knows that the real danger comes from the Iron fey—ironbound faeries that only she and her absent prince have seen. But no one believes her.Worse, Meghan's own fey powers have been cut off. She's stuck in Faery with only her wits for help. Trusting anyone would be foolish. Trusting a seeming traitor could be deadly. But even as she grows a backbone of iron, Meghan can't help but hear the whispers of longing in her all-too-human heart.

my thoughts~
WOW, WOW, WOW!!! I love this series! It isn't too often that you pick up a book and your transported to another world. You just lose yourself. That's how I feel with The Iron Fey series! When I started reading The Iron King, I thought it was a trilogy. I found out that it's NOT! Yay!!! If you like YA, Faeries, then you will like this series. Well, gotta go, I'm reading The Iron Queen now!

"Follow me," he ordered, his eyes becoming floating golden orbs in the dark.
"I will show you the trod to the Between from here. And human, there are rumors
of Iron fey hunting you as well, so I suggest we hurry."
I swallowed. "No," I told him, and the orbs blinked in surprise.

The Iron King
by Julie Kagawa

from Harlequin.com

Meghan Chase has a secret destiny—one she could never have imagined…

Something has always felt slightly off in Meghan's life, ever since her father disappeared before her eyes when she was six. She has never quite fit in at school…or at home.

When a dark stranger begins watching her from afar, and her prankster best friend becomes strangely protective of her, Meghan senses that everything she's known is about to change.

But she could never have guessed the truth—that she is the daughter of a mythical faery king and is a pawn in a deadly war. Now Meghan will learn just how far she'll go to save someone she cares about, to stop a mysterious evil no faery creature dare face…and to find love with a young prince who might rather see her dead than let her touch his icy heart.

Luckily I already have the next book in the series The Iron Daughter that I am starting today!
