Lover Unleashed
by J.R. Ward

Payne, twin sister of Vishous, is cut from the same dark, warrior cloth as her brother: A fighter by nature, and a maverick when it comes to the traditional role of Chosen females, there is no place for her on the Far Side… and no role for her on the front lines of the war, either. When she suffers a paralyzing injury, human surgeon Dr. Manuel Manello is called in to treat her as only he can- and he soon gets sucked into her dangerous, secret world. Although he never before believed in things that go bump in the night- like vampires- he finds himself more than willing to be seduced by the powerful female who marks both his body and his soul.As the two find so much more than an erotic connection, the human and vampire worlds collide … just as a centuries old score catches up with Payne and puts both her love and her life in deadly jeopardy.

my thoughts~
Book #9 and I still love reading about the Brothers! I was up at 5 a.m. this morning reading. I finished at 6 p.m. still in my pj's, needing to eat & shower. That's how entranced with 'Lover Unleashed' I was. I barely moved all day! I love the story of Payne & Manny. The way it unfolds, how giving he is. How strong she is. It was a book that I had to set down a couple of times and just 'sigh'.  And, there were a couple of times that I just wanted to smack 1 certain (twin) brother, but as with any great book, all is right in the end. I am unwilling to write to much here, because the book is still so new that I don't want to give to much away. But I will say this: There is a lot of V & Jane in this book(yay). Almost no John Matthew & Xhex(boo). But there is a certain revelation concerning my favorite manwhore. Actually there are 2 revelations with him.

I so loved this book, I can't wait until the BDB Reading Challenge starts April 1st, so I can read ALL the Brothers books again!! LOL! The WARDen always mentions songs or groups in her books (love them!) so I thought I would add a group that Manny enjoys!
